Autumn is in Full Swing!

What to wear in lovely November? Now is the time to bring out all your true Autumn fashions. Don't get stuck in the same old black and white office garb this month.  We suggest avoiding the black and silver tones for the next few weeks.  All of December, January, and February will be consumed by dressing in cool tones, or festive holiday reds and greens.  For this small window of time before the arrival of the harsh winter frost,  try to dress in beautiful browns, chocolates, sage greens, rusts, and cranberry colors.  Take a cue from Dolce & Gabbana and embrace the fall fantasy theme, with gorgeous plaids, whimsical leaf embroideries, and a vibrant autumn palette.  Wear leaf prints, harvest florals, luxurious suedes, and chunky knits.  Autumn is fleeting.  Make the most of it!

LOGO Littles by Lori Goldstein

We love LOGO by Lori Goldstein for the office.  Now, Lori Goldstein launches LOGO Littles, and adorable clothing line for girls and pre-teens.  The clothing line reflects the same relaxed style, distinctive silhouettes and refreshing color palette as the LOGO women's collection.  This is perfect for your daughters, nieces, and little sisters.  Importantly, the line is fun for girls, but keeps the fit and cut modest and age appropriate.  I love this line for our future Lady Lawyers.  Check out the entire collection on QVC.com.  http://www.qvc.com/LOGOLittles.content.html?pageSize=ALL

Altuzarra has Arrived!!!

At long last, our Altuzarra pieces have arrived!! (http://altuzarra.com/) After anticipating this line for months and months, we were counting down the days until the launch on September 14. (http://www.target.com/c/altuzarra-for-target-brand-shop/-/N-556tx#?lnk=snav_rd_altuzarra&orginalSearchTerm=altuzzara This was on par with the launch of Isabel Marant pour H & M.  Joseph Aluzarra is an incredibly talented young designer.  Only barely in his 30s, he is already taking the fashion world by storm.  With a respectable pedigree, he boasts internships at Marc Jacobs, apprenticed with Prorenza Schouler and Rochas, and has worked as first assistant to Givency's Riccardo Tici.  He launched his fashion brand, Altuzarra, in New York in 2008.  Mr. Altuzarra is the 2014 CFDA Womensware Designer of the Year.  This collection for Target, was designed with the working woman in mind.  It reflects classic tailoring with a sexy and mysterious twist.  The black trench coat is an amazing anchor piece for your wardrobe.  As the finishing touch to any outfit, the trench is incredibly flattering and versatile.  It is dressy enough to wear to the opera, but perfectly appropriate for your daily trek to the office.  I absolutely adore the python print.  The print is not a garish snake print.  It is masterfully created and as sophisticated as any you will see on couture runways.  It is especially striking with the black trench, or layered with the python pencil skirt.  In this collection, Altuzarra is not afraid to go for a sexy and edgy look with thigh-high slits.  I think many offices are fine with this look, but if you are on the shy side you can save these pieces for nights out.  Altuzarra has interestingly offered a look for any event.  The fashion sweatshirts are very tom-girl chic.  They can be paired with jeans for casual day or dressed up with a skirt for work.  I really love them.  The red peasant dress is fabulous.  It is the perfect color of red, not too orange or too blue.  Truly glorious, this is the red from Chris de Brugh's song "Lady in Red". :) It will make you look amazing..that's all I can say.  The dress is very comfortable and easy to wear.  Overall, my sister and I are thrilled with this collection. Joseph Altuzarra, thank you for this! A true gift to fashionistas everywhere!

Juicy Couture for Kohl's

Worry not lovers of Juicy Couture!! You favorite brand is now at your local Kohl's.  I am excited about this move...although nothing can replace the adorable Juicy Couture boutiques in my heart.  My sister and I checked out the local Kohl's in Murrieta today and found some great pieces.  Yes, track suits abound!! I have so many track suits already, but if you need one this is a great buy.  It is the same Juicy look you love for much, much less.  My sister bought some amazing Juicy Couture boots for the fall/winter season.  I don't think you will be disappointed by this collection, and your wallet will thank you :)

Altuzarra Madness!

I woke up a little late this morning...about 7 a.m.  Unfortunately, that was already too late to get the coveted trenches and blazers.  They were sold out by 6 a.m.!! I spent about an hour or so picking out the items.  Scored the Python Blouse, Python t-shirt, Python Long Sleeved Tee, Green Python sweatshirt, Orchid Sweatshirt, Orchid Blouse, Crane Sweater, Python Skirt, and Ruby Peasant Dress!! I am really excited to get the items in the mail.  Later in the day, my sister and I even stopped off at our local Target to see the clothes in person.  It is a really sexy, sophisticated, and fun look.  The selection at the store was really unimpressive.  Not because so much had sold, but because the store just didn't get very much inventory.  Stay tuned for a full report when we get the items!

Altuzarra for Target

Altuzarra is a luxury women's ready-to-wear brand launched by young designer Altuzarra. http://altuzarra.com/en/contents Born to a Chinese-American mother and French father, Altuzarra incorporates influences from French film and ballet into his designs, with the ease and pragmatism of American fashions.  His collection aims to make the "sophisticated modern woman feel seductive, strong, and confident."  Great news for ladies on a budget: Altuzarra is coming to Target!! We can't wait for this collection.  It is so chic, so cool, so sophisticated.  The line launches at Target on September 14th.

Steven Khan for Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Shoot at Sephora!!!!!

Just got back from an amazing event at the Sephora in the Temecula Promenade.
I walked into Sephora needing to buy some foundation when I realized that world famous photographer Steven Khan was doing a photo shoot event!! What?!? I need the details stat.  It turns out that Steven was there with Smashbox Cosmetics , doing makeovers and photos.  The price of admission: $100 in Smashbox Cosmetics.  http://www.smashbox.com/steven-khan Included in the cost is also an eyeshadow brush and false eyelashes.

Well, to me it was well worth it.  I got a totally amazing makeover by makeup artist Bailey Sarian.  She used the Primer Original, Studio Skin Foundation, Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer, Baked Starburst Bronzer, Eye Shadow Trio, Always Sharp Liner, Full Exposure Mascara, Brow Tech, Be Legendary Lip Gloss, and Legendary Lipstick in Pretty Social on my look. Topped off with glamorous false lashes, she called the look: The Total Barbie.  It looked great!

After the makeup is done...you are whisked away to buy the required $100 worth of cosmetics.  When you think about how much one professional photo sitting with Steven costs (in the thousands of dollars), $100 is practically free because you are getting the makeover AND the products AND the photos!! It was a fun, energetic event.

Next to the photos...

Here comes the nerves!! Steven was very friendly and professional.  I was behind the camera for about 5 minutes.  He even let my sister Rachel take a few with me! Best of all, he does a quick edit on them.  You get to take home a CD with about 40-50 pics.  It was really amazing.

Seriously mark your calendars for any Sephora artist events.

Thanks Sephora, Smashbox, and Steven!
