Maleficent Style from Hot Topic and Heidi Daus

Sleeping Beauty was my favorite Disney cartoon as a young girl. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053285/quotes  Now, Disney is opening the movie Maleficent!! http://movies.disney.com/maleficent  Starring the one and only Angelina Jolie, this film tells the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain, and how her heart was turned to stone.  I can not wait to see this movie.  In the interim...get yourself to HOT TOPIC.  It is a blast from the past walking into that store.  That's where you went when you were ditching high school...HOT TOPIC :) http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Homepage.jsp  Me encanta the fun and fashionable line of Disney Official clothing available.  There are exclusive pieces featuring your favorite Sleeping Beauty characters: Briar Rose, Prince Philip, the Three Faeries, and Diablo (Maleficent's pet raven).  http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/PopCulture/Movies/Disney.jsp  There is also an exclusive "fashion" line based on the Maleficent movie: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/PopCulture/Movies/Maleficent.jsp

The tops can easily be worn under a suit on casual day...or any time of the week in my opinion!

The fun does not stop at Hot Topic.  HSN is also doing a tribute to the film. http://www.hsn.com/content/Maleficent/156  Several amazing designers, including Naeem Khan snd Heidi Daus, have designed unique collections based on the Maleficent film!  I have my eye on the Diablo pin from Heidi Daus! It would look fierce on the jacket of my business suit.

Maleficent: Oh come now Prince Phillip. Why so melancholy? A wondrous future lies before you - you, the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true. Behold - King Stefan's castle. And in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the Princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate - why, 'tis the self-same peasant maid, who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed, most wondrous fair. Gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red red rose. In ageless sleep, she finds repose. The years roll by, but a hundred years to a steadfast heart, are but a day. And now, the gates of a dungeon part, and our prince is free to go his way. Off he rides, on his noble steed, a valiant figure, straight and tall! To wake his love, with love's first kiss. And prove that "true love" conquers all!
[she laughs] (From Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (1959)).

Remember, visions are seldom all they seem.....
